To turn the original images into Pac-Nat characters, we first took side shots of the actors so that they had the same orientation as pacman characters. I then put the images into photoshop. I removed their backgrounds, put a high detail 'cutout' filter on them and then used the hue edit to colourise them into different colours we could use for the scene. After that I drew on the ghost tentacles and eyes and then all we had to do was do a lot of keyframe animation to put the pac-nats into the sequence.
This was our final idea for the design of the production's logo. The keyboard design suits the target genre (a film about games) well and the colours behind it make it look glitched, also suiting the title of the production. The use of a keyboard also worked well with the words of the title we had chosen so we liked this logo the best and decided to keep it.
We chose this idea as our final ident because all of the animations flow together smoothly and it therefore conveys that the production will also be very smoothly edited and well polished and it also gives the idea of 'all-in-one'. We wanted our ident to convey the words al-in-one because the point of our production companies were that the most important thing was involving ourselves with the audience and making exactly what the audience wants, therefore getting the best reactions possible from our target audience.
We made the logo sequence like this because we took the logo and put a binary background on it. This was a representation of computer code and hacking and therefore worked conventionally with the production we were making. The design style of it is also similar to the design style of the animation in the production. The full lines of the binary in the background also read "the life hack". The glitching text at the end also conveys the theme of hacking and glitching code and it also looks very impressive, which was why we liked it. The colours behind the keyboard also looks like the image has been glitched and therefore once again represents the theme we were aiming for.
Here are some of the titles we can up with when considering the name of our production:
Arcade Escape The Network Life On The Wire The Life Hack The Inside Life Through The Screen Into The Network Enter The Code Pres Escape Escape In the end we all decided on 'The Life Hack' as this title sounded the best out of all of them and represented the way the character's life was hacked into the game code. It sounded the most appropriate out of all of them and worked with our idea for a logo well. Life Hacks are also a common known phrase so we thought the use of a common phrase would help attract the target audience. |
